The skill of creating movement in a two-dimensional space is known as 2D Animation. The illusion of movement is created when individual drawings of objects are sequenced together over time. This includes characters, creatures, FX, and backgrounds.

Animators are those who communicate imaginative ideas using moving text, symbols, images, and characters to express their thoughts.

2D animation is widely used for creating animated movies, cartoons, marketing videos, advertisements, corporate presentations, educational materials, video games, and so much more.

In this course we will be using Blender. Blender is a free and open source 3D creation suite. It supports the entirety of the 3D pipeline—modeling, rigging, animation, simulation, rendering, compositing and motion tracking, even video editing and game creation.

1.  A student must be Competent and confident with using a computer.

2. A Student is expected to have a stable Computer laptop of minimum RAM (random access memory) of 4gb and an operating system of 32bit/ 64bit (windows 7,8 or 10).
